    Installation Tips, clean, clean, clean

It fixes the problem. A few notes; 1, the old o'rings are now hard rubber. They will come out in pieces and leave a trail of bits. Clean this out. Otherwise you risk clogging your injectors. 2 I recommend getting a set of brass o'ring tools as you want to be careful as to not scratch the fittings. 3 installation, I used an old piece of the hose from my air ride suspension. It was about 2 inches long. On this I mounted the check valve. Added the spring and inserted the assembly. Followed by the new o'ring. The o'ring went in sort of sideways. I was able to use my brass o'ring tools to push it up into place. It just snapped into the groove. 4 the lower o'ring, same as the check valve o'ring. It goes in a bit sideways and then just pops into place. 5 I used WD-40 to lube things up and help wash the old bits of o'ring out.

    Wrong size o-ring in kit!

Lower o-ring is the wrong size. Seems everyone has this problem. Since I was having a rough time getting it in place I checked youtube videos and found all of the videos explained the lower o-ring was also the wrong size for them too! Get your act together Fuel Tool. Should be named Fuel FOOL! You are wasting everyone's time. Wish I could rate you zero stars. Ridiculous....

  • Fuel Tool check valve repair tool.

Eventhoug this product is of high quality and clever design, the problem with it is the availability. I have been waiting for my tool for two months without hope. I cancelled my order to Motocross Giant in California, placed a new order to J&P Cycles with the same result (on back order all the time). Fuel Tool guys: please expedite your production.

  • Did the job

In my case the upper o-ring was swollen up, which wouldn't allow the fuel line to seat properly and let the quick release to lock in place. I took the tank off and turned it upside down to do the replacement. The kit work great. Saved me from replacing the whole quick release component.
