Good buy and meets my needs.
The cooling fan is not as quiet as the original Hp power supply. So far it seems to preform well. It is not loud but definitely not silent. It sounds like water running in the bathroom at the other end of the house when you are within a few feet of the power supply. The unit fit perfectly into the computer and had all the correct plugs. Runs fine with a cpu but not with cpu and gpu.
So I purchased this for a pc I build and what I got was unexpected. The PSU is really small and I thought to myself is this really 500w? I have a 550ti with other low powered parts and it did not run with the gpu attached. When I unplug the gpu it runs fine. I've tried multiple things and including plugging this PSU into other pcs think it was something else and nope it does not work at all. I plugged in another PSU into the pc that this PSU was supposed to work in and the other psu works perfectly fine. Easy to install
It is everything that the ad said it was, the only problem I had was I had to add a couple more connectors as I had added adapter for usb 3 and more usb 2 as my computer is 15 + years old. but it fix my power problem. This is NOT a regular sized power supply and it even says so I’m the tittle 🤦🏽♂️ I don’t know how I didn’t catch that so watch out and check your case.
