The title of the book, "Sarum, the Novel of England" implies that everything one needs to know about the time in English history is in this book.
I enjoy well written historical fiction books. I appreciate an author whose research is accurate but not
obvious. Edward Rutherfurd's in-depth descriptions of the people, places, and things in his books
are wonderful. I am going to quote a section of the summary of the novel that appears on the back of the book: "...this is a brilliantly conceived epic of a novel that traces the entire turbulent course of English
history."
I couldn't put the book down.
