Author Biography
Sharon Yates has spent over thirty years as a Mental Health Professional. After earning a Social Work degree from East Carolina University, she began a career of helping people that includes roles as counselor, consultant, trainer, supervisor and manager. In her current role as Public Relations Director for the Cumberland County Mental Health Center, Sharon coordinates events, disseminates information, promotes mental health services and produces a public-access cable television show, Focus on Mental Health. Her first book, The Busy Mom, was released by Child and Family Press, a division of The Child Welfare League of America, (Washington, D.C.) in 2002.
