Soon after, Absalon's young wife Anne (Lisbeth Movin) begins an affair with his son Martin (Preben Ledorff Rye). The ecclesiastical debate strikes to the community's heart, with only Inger (Birgitte Federspiel), the wife of Peter's eldest son Mikkel (Emil Hass Christensen), bridging the religious divide.
If you happen to be a fan of Dreyer or cinema in general, this collection is worth your attention. Great transfer for each of the films. The only way it could have been better is if it also included The Passion of Joan of Arc (1928). Even still, this is the best way to view many of the included films, and the only way to get Ordet on Blu Ray.
