Excellent meter, easy to use, don't like cost of lancets.
The only thing I don't like about this meter is the inability to reuse the lancet. I don't like to be forced into buying unsubsidised cassettes of lancets at $0.30 per lancet when I don't want to. I test 5 times daily and that would add $547 a year to my costs. It's the same money making scheme as inkjet printer cartridges, the printer is ridiculously cheap and the cartridges are the exact opposite. Even though they say it's good practice to use lancets only once, for 15 years I've been reusing them for months at a time without ever having a problem, as does my wife.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easy to use
I bought this for my husband, who is pre-diabetic, in the hope it would encourage him to test his sugar levels and see how they are affected by his diet. I knew if it was too fiddly to use, he probably would not do it. This glucometer is easy to use and comes with the finger-pricker built in. The test strips are in a cassette which is pre-loaded into the machine so there is no need to unwrap an individual test strip each time you use it. Ease of use, At last a product which addresses the problems of test strip use. Very handy size and is conveniant, just right for the handbag. Convenience leads to more frequent testing
I have been using the Accu-Chek mobile for over 10 years, primarily because it is so convenient to use. I am a keen hiker and cyclist, so the ability to do a test quickly, simply pulling the meter out of my pocket and being able to comple the test and have the meter back in my pocket in less than 60 seconds means that I can test more regularly than with meters that require me to fiddle with a pack of test strips as well. Doesn't come complete
Purchased recently as it was 'blood glucose strip free' and so I thought that's a savings on purchase of the strip's. But they didn't mention the device needs a 'blood glucose cartridge' - which is not provided with the unit when you buy it. And the cartridge is expensive. So now awaiting delivery of cartridge.
