this is probably good for high volume work
we have been using this high yield cartridge in our home office for several years - the cartridge itself does last a long time, but the consistency after a few months is poor, the black fails to keep its depth (really black - falls off to dark gray), it needs to be removed and shaken once a week after the initial good period. We have 3 older cartridges that still have toner, but we have put aside for backup, since they have lost their potency - they get replaced since they no longer consistently produce deep blacks without shaking the cartridges frequently. These are the high yield cartridges - perhaps we do not use it frequently enough - not sure if they are only intended for high volume work - since our demand is low volume - we should probably be using the low yield cartridges.
