unless of course you heat the assembly up to 250F & use a press... Long ago I used this to put the rear wheel bearings on my Lotus Europa & it worked great. This time I used it to hold cushions in my Toyota Avalon's rear member (that's what Toyota call them. The member has four cushions (rubber thingies that are surrounded by two 170 degree round steel pieces) that press into circular holes in the member. I don't know what I did wrong the first time when I just pressed them in, but they worked their way out in the course of 500 miles. Toyota's shop manual just has a drawing of the member & parts & no directions on how to install them. This time I sanded all the paint out of the holes & off the cushions w/a Dremel tool & pressed them in with plenty of Loctite 638 & let them cure for 15 minutes like Loctite's data sheet says.
