This book is the second publication from the naked Chef - Jaime Oliver, this book actually has two titles....Jaime takes Off in the US; and the Return of the Naked Chef in the UK, so if looking for his book collection - beware that these 'two' are actually one and the same~! In a similar style to his debut, this book has chatty text that tell you how to make the recipe as opposed to bullet points that dictate exactly how you should cook! The emphasis on this book is making delicious but easy to prepare meals at home that the family can enjoy on a daily basis as opposed to occasion cooking....though, trust me, these recipes are so good, they will lend to any occasion! It begins once again with a basic guide of pantry essential and a look at herbs...two areas that will aid in your preparation of these meals! It follows with a chat about Jaime's favorite foods and within the course of the text, is a how to on preparing these! We have 12 food chapters....as opposed to his other chat based chapters that focus on everything from breakfast to tapas, drinks to desserts! The other great thing about this and the rest of Jaime's books is the fact that the ingredients are easy to find...some cookbooks have the most ridiculous ingredients that one cannot readily find in the local grocery shop....not this book! Standouts for me in this offering include: Monkfish with ginger, coriander, chili and coconut milk; baked artichokes with breadcrumbs thyme and lemon (this is a great alternative dish for Thanksgiving and is very rich) and the chocolate pots!! All are easy to make and taste great!! Another stellar offering from Jamie Oliver and it cna make a cook out of the worst of us....trust me!!Read full review
Jamie Oliver is always brilliant! I would buy any of his books in a minute because his recipes are always simple and delicious. This book proves that.

You know what, I wasn't really a Jamie Oliver fan at first... I watched his show and didn't recognize his talent. After I received this book, I was a believer. Now some of these recipes are standards of mine, here's a sample of my favorites: - Shrimp and pea risotto with basil and mint - Roast loin of pork with peaches - Good old mashed veg
You are bound to love this Great book featuring many delicious recipes from Jamie Oliver. Clear and precise as well as lots of information (like all his other great books) I highly recommend it.
