There's nothing not to like about this unit!
I originally purchased one of these speed lights for my Nikon D7100 and they worked together perfectly. The Godox is considerably less expensive that the Nikon CLS counterpart, and I could see no difference in overall quality. The flash has a huge range of lighting control features. It also supports both optical slave and wireless remote trigger modes. I later added the Godox Xpro wireless flash trigger for off camera flash. The wireless mode supports several different group and channel options. There are references on-line to compatibility with the Nikon CLS, but I really don't know anything about that. They all work seamlessly with the Nikon camera and TTL. There are several great reviews and tutorials on-line to help get started. Since my original purchase, I have ordered a second V860II for additional studio situations. Additionally, I use Godox X1R-N remote trigger modules to adapt my older Studio Mono Lights to work with the Xpro system. The remote trigger receivers do work completely with some of my cheap TTL speed lights. But, my studio lights predate iTTL, so their power settings must be must be adjusted manually. There is also a Godox S-type Bracket Mount Holder that allows for using lighting stands and light modifiers. I thought that it would be over-kill as an on camera flash, but the swivel and angle head make it an excellent fill and subject light both indoors and out. Skin tones and shadows can be controlled so much better than with using the camera's pop-up flash. In fact, I now only use the pop-up flash as an optical trigger. I cant speak for the Pro Photographers. But as an enthusiastic amateur (with a limited hobby budget), I am very very pleased with the V860II and the Xpro system and would highly recommend any of them to my friends!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
