Pretty much the only game in town - if you need it, get it.
Does what it is supposed to do. This is my third one of these. The wind-up drive mechanism has a rather fragile plastic part which can easily break There is no way to replace the part - so an entirely new unit is in order. I could not find a competitive unit on the market. The only reason to buy one is if you have an older microwave without it's own built in turntable, and even then if you are stuck with a built in wall oven (like me). At $40+, it is almost as expensive as buying a new counter-top microwave, all of which now have their own built-in turntables.
I would have much preferred a unit with a manual on-off switch. Some items are too light to activate the weight based activation and it balks with off-center weight. Naturally, with weight, it continues to run until the cooked item is lifted or it simply runs down. Also, if the device gets really hot, it will continue to run, even if the weight is lifted.
