I was using a screw clamp type capo but had to retune every time I capoed my banjo. I like the Shubb because it actually eliminates having to retune the banjo once I found the correct torque to set the tension screw at. I also like the black chrome finish I chose to go with because it is less conspicuous while on my banjo neck. I can't stand to see someone put one of those popular gosh awful looking spring clamp capos on an instrument costing hundreds or thousands of dollars. I'm just not gona have it on my instruments. That's like putting a set of curb feelers on a new Mercedes.
