The overall appearance of this item may be improved with a gentle and thorough cleaning. The middle were it meets for the cross of the track has some wear from previous owner.     Lack of continuous signal stops all the fun

    mth didn't put a lot of research into this. Because the plastic breaks the connection, a single engine running over this section will stop dead. If they'd kept all pieces metal, the electric flow would be continuous. Hopefully they'll reconsider their construction of this item in the future.
