Great Pentax build, reasonably and competitively priced vs. competitors.
Good product and reasonably priced compared to competitors. The angle of view, 8x mag, fully multicoated (all lenses), rugged build, and overall Pentax quality is what made me go with this pair compared to others. I'm pleased with the value. For my purposes as a casual/hobbyist bird watcher, these are great. If you're looking for something more lightweight for travel, these could work, but it might be worthwhile looking for something more compact depending on what you want to carry with you during travel. For all purpose, well designed and built 8x mag roof binoculars, these have been wonderful. The only thing I don't like is the strange placement of the diopter adjustment and I'd have preferred hard stop screw out clicks for the eye pieces, but it's worth it for the eye relief (glasses wearers).

This is a great product, compact, light weight, Looking forward to use them on our upcoming cruise. The only thing I would like to add is I wish the case could have come with a shoulder strap or a method of attaching it to your waist belt
