easy just do it
When i first purchased my x300 years ago, I changed the fuel sender, fuel sender washer and locking ring. I made such a big deal about it, read everything i could find, over comlicated the job then buggered it up on install and managed to jump a thread when i was tightening it up. Ever since there was always a slight smell of petrol in the cabin that I wasn’t 100% sure how to et rid of. the smell became considerably worse recently which prompted me to purchase and renew a new lock ring and washer. This time around after running the petrol well out, with just a drop left in the tank. the job took me about 15min. Miraculously the small was gone and problem solved. These products are cheap and Defiantly good OEM quality, I should have purchased them years ago and fixed my issue earlier, instead of being intimidated by it and putting up with the samll leak. The difference this time around was, I was able to tighten the lock ring up better and more efficiently after spraying it with some silicon spray.
