The tools were more than adequate for the job which is just as well because the stereo unit itself was one that was quite difficult to remove & required a fair bit of pressure on the tools.

Tool did the job eventually ( the radio did seem to be unusually tight in the cage though ). The angle of the final bend which contains the release tip is off slightly which results in the ends not sitting square on the the release tabs but at an upwards/downwards angle, making it hard to fully push in the tabs to release the radio. The radio did release after a number of attempts. Works, and for the price it is acceptable but nothing beats the factory tool with smooth ends.

These tools look like they will do the job at first glance but they need to be rebent to actually fit squarely into the holes on the head unit of my VZ Commodore. It will take me longer to modify the tools than it will to remove and replace my head unit. I would have been better off cutting and bending a wire coat hanger.

It's great, lines up the holes exactly so you get an easy removal .

Does the job on latter radios. Did not work on my VY which had earlier radio. I ended up making my own tools.
