Good cheap timer, but limited life
I like this tap timer because its' cost is reasonable and the watering duration can be set with a 1 minute precision (many cheaper timers only offer 1, 3, 5, 10 etc minutes). Battery life is about a year of operation, so, if you are going away for a while, and you put fresh batteries in, your garden and pot plants will be looked after. It does require a pressure reducer (300 MPa) to be in line between the tap and it, but pressure reducers are cheap enough. My only gripe is that after a few months or a year water starts to leak into the electronics area. I believe this leak is along the shaft between the ball valve and the gear box. The water causes corrosion, which eventually results in failure. I have used battery operated tap timers for many years, and have tried many brands. They all have this problem. This unit has the advantage of being cheap to replace. On this latest timer I am trying adding an excessive application of Vasilene to the shaft, in the hope that this will extend the life.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Simple and good value water timer
Simple to program, good water flow and best of all, no water hammer in the pipes when it turns off unlike the solenoid version of water timers. Amazing amount of options for programming but these can be easily ignored if you don't require them.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
