Perfect size and easy to use the features.
This is my 4th Fitbit that I have owned. And I think is the best one that I have had. If I was to buy another one, I would probably by this one again. It has what I need and is easy to use then the other ones I have had.

Good tracker with serious flaws
Fitbits in general are fairly accurate with a good app, but the alta suffers from a few serious design flaws. First the clasp is terrible. It was so hard to snap the metal bits into the holes I had to use a screwdriver to press down on the inside! After breaking it in a few times with the screwdriver, I was able to snap it shut on my own. But then I lost it a couple of times after it simply unclasped. The first time I found it in my purse, and the second I found it in my bed. The second issue is the lack of buttons. The wrist flicking to automatically turn on the display doesn't always work, which would be less annoying if the tapping feature would work. At times I find myself turning my wrist and tapping repeatedly with no results. Other times the tap finally triggers the display but each tap changes the information so it skips the time and steps because I tapped too many times trying to get it to work. In short, the clasp is terrible and the display is hard to turn on. I would try a different fitbit.

fitbit Blaze is great!
The fitbit blaze is quite an improvement over the Charge HR and the original fitbit I have had. It holds a charge for quite a few days and is easy to read. I enjoy the ability to read texts from my phone and being able to accept or decline calls for my phone.

Everything is good about this Fitbit Alta except the band. I cannot put it on by myself, it's almost impossible to get the little dots to go through the holes. Yesterday it actually fell off of me when I was in the garage. It has been sitting on the kitchen counter ever since, because I tried to put it back on and couldn't. I absolutely hate this band!!!! I will look to see if there are better bands that will fit on it. Otherwise I will consider it a total waste of money and it will sit in a drawer somewhere.

Love my fitbit alta
This is the first time I have purchased a fitbit to track my steps. I wanted something simple and that is exactly what I got with the Fitbit Alta. It tracks steps, miles, exercise, water intake, sleep patterns and calories. It is easy to set up and to edit. So far, I love it!

I really love my Fitbit Alta. Your ability to set individual goals is augmented by little reminders to get up and move! The installed app on your Smartphone charts all your numbers to let you easily see how you're doing for the day. And, it even tracks your sleeping, your awake times and your restless times. No wonder I wake up exhausted each day! The 4-star rating is for the band. It's a bit difficult to close . I know that it's so that your tracker won't fall off. Just letting you know, it's hard to get the band closed. That being said , I have already lost 6 pounds because ... I'm moving! (Love the plum).

Great product. Half the price.
I was a little skeptical this was a new product because of the price - so much lower than retail. It arrived in the same condition and packaging you would expect when ordering from the manufacturer. The Fitbit was easy to set up and use and I have been using it now for 2 weeks. Surprisingly long battery life. Seems to be very accurate.

Pros, this device is small and comfortable. Functionality is good. Cons, batter life is poor. Since this product is no longer manufactured it isn't surprising that the battery no longer has the charge life of a new device.

So far, so good...
I like that I can swap out the band of the Alta to look a little more 'dressed up' but sometimes it's not the easiest to re-fit the band. Also, though it shows the 'minutes' that I was active I wish it had an actual stop-watch element to time runs, etc. Like the overall look though!
