    Blue Monster

I’ve had a gen 1 Orange Monster, a gen 2 Orange and Black Monsters and now this Blue. They are all fantastic watches that are solidly built. This Blue is by far the best with a 6R15 Movement and only a date with cyclops which is to my liking. I flipped the other Monsters but this one is a keeper.

    Poor Luminosity

This is my third Monter and at 3X's the cost of my previous Monsters, I had high expectations. It looks great, keeps good time, but is it really worth $600 compared to the 007's for about $200? The first thing I noticed is that the luminosity is about 1/2 the previous watches and that is one thing I particularly look for.

  • Built well

This is the 3rd and rumored possibly the last of the Monster series. Styling is attractive with a very dark blue face dial with a more reserved look like the 1st series and not like the more funky (some say garish) second series. The movement has been updated to the 6R15 and the lume seems to be great as expected as for any Seiko. The only quibble I have is that the crown does not seem 100% centered which I'm not sure in intentional but overall the watch seems to be a solid and attractive update to the Monster series including the bracelet.

  • Good but not really a dive watch

It is unique in style and with a 6R15 movement which is an improvement on the previous 4R35. But the markings on the bezel are too large as to make reading the exact elapsed time difficult. And the (usual cheaper version of the Seiko) diver's extension makes the clasp longer and digs into my wrist bone. The extension is not adjustable and too long (when extended) as to be meaningful. I put it on a silicon strap (from another Seiko purchase) instead. It is a shame because the bracelet is quite nice. The links are quite unlike others. The deep and big groves on the bezel also make turning the bezel a bit difficult. But if the watch is to be used daily, and not underwater, all my complaints are irrelevant. Or I should say other than for diving this is a great watch with good value.

  • All the watch you need....

Solidly built. Nice feel to the bezel. Crown can do with more smoothness. Limited Edition so you won't see it on everybody's wrist and may it will likely appreciate in value ! Easily available inexpensive bracelet so you don't have to baby this outdoor watch, which is what tool watches are for. Rolexes can stay in their boxes. This stays on my wrist !

  • Has quality and individualism

Seiko is known quality. Movement is used in much more expensive watches. Quality is evident and styling is unique in a world of watches where most are not. Makes me smile.

  • Just happy to own a Seiko Monster!

The Monster enjoys its reputation as a Seiko collector's favourite. This particular watch is a 3rd generation monster. Gone are the 'teeth' indices Coupled with a blue dial and metallic bezel, I find the watch actually quite suitable to wear with a business-casual outfit. It is just so tough and good looking in its own way. I love it.

  • Great Seiko Diver

This Seiko Monster is built like a tank. The bezel feels solid, no play in it at all. It has kept excellent time, and gained about 3 secs. per day measured over 5 days. Great everyday watch for the price.

  • seiko monster

Beautiful watches but there is nowhere indication that the limited series and in the description of the goods is.
