Had seen the story behind the making of the cd, it has lived up to what I was expecting. The music genre may not be everyones taste, but if you are interested in the origins of country music it is a great cd.

Great to hear some of the old timers playing with a bunch of hippies, sometimes oil and water does mix. It was approached so respectfully, with the greats treated with reverence and respect, which is why it is so iconic. So to answer the question posed in the title, yes, the circle will remain unbroken, so long as there is music that is played by younger artist's with respect for it's roots. To hear such amazing veterans of the genre, such as Mabelle Carter and Roy Acuff, and the legendary Earl Scruggs, and as a rule, I don't even like Country Music, but this was history in the making.

For the lovers of American bluegrass and country music roots, this is a standout album from the past. Always love to hear some chatter between the tracks to add relevance and context to the recordings.
