Could have been Classic
the real ending should have shown our Russian infiltrator to be the most powerful Soviet Spy leader of the cold war The crimes committed were kept ambiguous So on the final hand off his Russian handlers only needed to salute him as a supreme General then Hanks pose the question ''you never said your the top KGB General'' and the curt usual reply ''would that have helped?''

An interesting slice of history, brought to the screen with vividness and finesse. A great film, well directed by Spielberg and Tom Hanks is brilliant. Fine effort by all involved. Recommended.
