    Classic Kubrick! This 2 DVD is brilliant. The movie has never looked better and the second disc has some great documentaries.

    A film masterpiece

    A Kubrick film which does a better job than NASA and /or the Russkies in foreseeing the path of man"s evolution to space and beyond. And asks the question "might computers take over?" as the next step of our evolution. By putting this into historical context of when it was made the "extras" show what an amazingly well crafted and highly disciplined script evolved. Like all Kubrick"s best films they are like your best liqueur, to be sampled repeatedly when you are ready for it.

    Lovely movie thought provoking.

    I saw this movie when I was around 18 and thought it was very futuristic. I saw it again when I was nearly 68. I still think the same other than the part where the pilot travels towards the amonomally which I thought was too long.
