SynopsisThe American revolution has begun--and Rush Revere, Liberty the horse, and the time-traveling crew are ready to ride into the action Join us on this incredible time-travel adventure Liberty, my wisecracking horse, our old friends Cam, Tommy, Freedom, and I are off to meet some super-brave soldiers in the year 1775. Yep, that's right. We'll be visiting with the underdog heroes who fought for American independence, against all odds--and won But not before eight very real years of danger and uncertainty. Be a part of Rush Revere's crew as we rush, rush, rush into a time when British rule had become a royal pain, and rebellion was in the air. We'll be on hand to see two lanterns hung in the Old North Church, prevent a British spy from capturing Paul Revere, and grapple with danger at the battles of Lexington, Concord, and Bunker Hill. The extra special part of this trip is that right here in the twenty-first century, Cam's dad is a soldier fighting in Afghanistan, and Cam has been pretty angry that he is away. Visiting with exceptional American heroes like Dr. Joseph Warren and George Washington, racing along after Paul Revere on his midnight ride, and seeing the Declaration of Independence signed make Cam see his own dad in a new and special way. But don't worry. Along with the danger, excitement, and patriotism, there will still be time to stop for a delicious spinach, oats, and alfalfa smoothie. No, wait--that one's for Liberty. The kids and I voted for strawberries. • Rush Revere

Great book series teaching the truth about history presenting it in a creative easy to understand and retainable way. Helps to expose the exaggerations and gross liberties that have been taken and presented in our schools history books today. Wake-up parents/grandparents - do you want well educated, responsible children who walk in truth and integrity or stay on the current path allowing the government to run education turning out robots who are tossed about on the sea of life unable to make sound decisions, have no concept of truth, believe anything having no idea how to confirm whether or not it's true, look to the government to solve all their, and the world's, woes and who wind up wasting potential, opportunities and contributing to society in a positive way. It is our responsibility to love, educate and walk out an example before our children/grandchildren so they CAN succeed.

  • "Rush" to read and learn American History.

This book, along with the other "Rush Revere" series is an excellent and entertaining way for our youngest-up-and-coming generation to read about the history of the United States (also pretty good reading for the adults). It is my opinion that our children are not getting a complete education in American history..."Rush Revere and his horse Liberty" will entertain and educate.

  • Exceptional Americans Come Alive

Recently started reading the Rush Revere series to my 5 and 7 year old, a chapter a night for bedtime. These books are so much fun, my kids BEG me to keep reading. Meanwhile, through these exciting time traveling adventures, my kids are learning about the divine founding of the United States of America and the character of our founding fathers - leaving them with a feeling of pride for our great nation. With enough silly humor sprinkled in to keep them giggling and a bit of suspense to keep them coming back for more. Highly recommend.

  • Great Introduction to American History

I use these books to introduce students to the historical events that shaped our nation. Kids love the adventures of Liberty and Rush Revere. Gets them interested and reading other material about our countries history.

  • More detailed history

I bought several of these books for my 11 year old granddaughter for her birthday. She has started reading them and likes that they give more details to historical events than her school does.

  • Teach our children Americas history!

I purchase this with the intent of giving it to my son to read to my granddaughter, but I read it to make sure it's something I agreed with. Yes, I do. Thought it's written for young readers, it does bring out the history of our country.

  • My 9 yr old who hates school LOVES this series

When we got the first book of the series from the library I did not know if my son (who typically only cares about minecraft and star wars) would even like it. Well, he cannot get enough of this book. He LOVES them and I can only hope that the books keep coming. My son actually remembers all of the history being taught right in the book. I am so thankful to have discovered this treasure of a series!!!

  • More good work from Rush

Probably best for 9 to 10 year olds and up. It took a little while but my 8-year old finally got into it.

  • Great book!

So easy to read, kids love it so much, AND you are get real history here, not the communistic version of history that they are teaching in our kids schools today. Great book! Get it!

  • Excellent for ages 9 and up.

Good history lessons, while entertaining. We have purchased the series and she looks forward to each new book-these are #3 & #4. Doesn't want to put them down till she is finished!! These should be in every school library!
