The drive was a bit "too used" for the price I paid (I accept that is on me) with 7 years constant "on" and active. The diagnostics show however all green indicators with no pre fail conditions. However I won't be using it as a hot spare as originally planned as it is too "long in the tooth" and will be relegated to light duties backing up non critical files.
