  • Wingspan Titan Monocular 12x50 Good Deal !

I'm an older guy w/ eye issues, blind in my rt. eye and cateracks in my good eye so take this review of Titan for what it's worth. I find looking across a field looking into the woods you can pick out quite a bit of detail of tree branches, rocks etc. Looking across a long plaza parking lot to the other end you can pick out details of people's faces, store signs and some cases read license plate numbers at a good distance. I was able to spot 2 eagles and their markings while soaring high in the sky. Holding unto and focusing takes a bit of getting used to because of the 12x high magnifaction, but it held easier than the Explorer model and the detail is better also. It comes w/ lens caps that hold on better, the eye lens cover needs a laynard to secure it to the built on catch. A neck laynard is supplied to carry it on the go and a belt loop holster to carry it on your waist if you prefer it is a bit heavy. I liked it better than the Explorer model, not saying the Explorer was bad just improved w/ the Titan version! Hope this helps your decision. Enjoy and Good Luck!!

  • Heavy, Big, No lanyard connection, Shakes because of 12 power unless you use tripod. Might not be as water proof as they say.

It is very strongly constructed; however... It is huge, heavy and has no lanyard loop. I had to return mine. I am 66 years-old and it was just ungainly. Since I would have used it at the Salt River, it would have been lost in the water almost immediately, having no place one could affix a lanyard. I did order a small wrist loop that screws into the tripod threaded-hole; but that's very awkward to put a lanyard there because of how it would hang, suspended sideways from the center like a teeter-totter. Also, being 12 power, it is almost too high a power. If you hand-hold it, it shakes and is hard to view through it. 8X is easier to hold, steady. So, if you are thinking of using this as a telescope on a tripod. If you don't care that it is huge, heavy and doesn't have a place to put a lanyard then it has excellent optics and seems to be well made. On-line I saw people who had dunked it in water and the water had gotten inside, almost immediately. So, it was yet another reason I sent it back. Also, you can find this particular scope on E-Bay for as little as $79, shipping included; so if people have it for $99, they are overcharging.

  • Great optics and easy to use

This monocular is everything I was looking for! I am practicing with it to view backyard birds in anticipation of heavy use during the sandhill crane migration. I made an eyepiece cap attachment from a rubber band and it works well.

  • WINGSPAN TITAN 12X50 IS BETTER THAN I EXPECTED.

VERY DECENT SMALL SPOTTING SCOPE FOR THE RANGE. TO BE HONEST, IT'S WAY BETTER THAN I EXPECTED IT TO BE FOR THE PRICE. I WOULD BUY AGAIN. THANK YOU.
