Quickly became my favorite book that I own!!
I love that these short stories have been put together so exquisitely. I'm extremely pleased with the illustrations and the overall cost design... Now onto the stories themselves; if you're a die hard obsessed ASOIAF fan like myself then you definitely want to read this. It goes back 100 years before ASOIAF picks up. More of R.R. Martin's sweet sweet world
If you're waiting anxiously for Winds of Winter to release why not fill your time with these lovely short stories. I found myself more attached to Dunk and Egg than perhaps more of the main characters in ASOIF. It keeps your toes in the same world and gives hommage to the series while still being new material. Book is an account of the early days when the Targaryens ruled and an insight of Sir Duncan the Tall and his squire Egg. To get to understand the lands of Westeros & Essos, starts here in this book.
