Just finished Tapestry. It was worth reading (a follow up book to the Chalice by same author). Joanne Stafford is up to her same effort in figuring out how all the characters are entwined and which one is trying to kill her. Who of her friends can she really trust. (which is a thread through out the book). The historical and romantic theme with some shades of grey (allowing author liberty to infuse fiction with facts) entwines the "tapestry" of the book as well. King Henry VIII has real tapestries hanging on the walls of his residences This puts real art in the book. They are a subtopic helping the weaving of the book's theme of characters and there connections. Joanne Stafford is a weaver of tapestries herself. This talent leads her to the King's residence because she has been acknowledged by him to be one of the top people in this field. What the King commands he gets - thus Joanne winds up in his palace. The book Tapestry keeps you guessing and in suspense through the last page. Excellent read.Read full review

Expertly written. Really pulls you in. Poignant, thrilling and adventurous set in Europe's England during the reign of King Henry VIII, where witch burning dominates.

I found the book to be similar to a Harlequin Romance novel in the 16th century. Improbable an terribly predictable. The religious aspect was disappointing and flawed. Really not worth reading
