    Great custom settings!

Great sound. As a senior with partial hearing loss I appreciate the feature that lowers the sound of background noise including the commonly over amplified music. Custom settings are great! Headphones are comfortable but rather heavy.

For the hearing impaired????? Do no waste your money.

Spent the extra money for these because of the hearing impaired feature giving up any kind of surround type enhancements. For me it is now money thrown away. The dial in for your hearing may be a great feature if the volume could keep up. My hearing loss we will call it moderate. I can, but should not, leave home with out my hearing aides. The RS 195 headsets just-flat run out of volume as they hit my 'volume' hearing range when in any of the special voice modes. In normal mode the volume is fine and with my old-old 170's the volume is fine in all modes...i.e. surround. Wish I would have saved the money and went with the 175's or 185's and played with the different movie modes. Not all is lost, 195's are great in normal mode and you do not have to turn on both the headset and the base unit....Strange that Sennheiser did not work with hearing impaired people a bit more??? • Excellent wireless headphones

Sound quality is great. I use these connected to the Schiit modi and magni on my PC. When listening to music I get good, tight bass and good mids and highs (take that with a grain of salt, I'm no hi-end audiophile) no hiss or weird noises while I use these. Wireless connection is great, from sitting right next to the receiver to walking into the room farthest away from my office I never dropped audio (2 bedroom apartment with about 3-4 walls in between, a larger house might have more connectivity issues) The extra features like the voice and dynamic enhancer is nice with videos and movies but for music I turn all that off. If your hearing impaired it might benefit you more. Biggest downside is the weight (can't really be avoided with the wireless components,) while they aren't very heavy and don't cause discomfort; they tend to slip off my head a bit when I look down. Definitely not portable but I'm guessing you figured that out, you'll need a plug to supply the base with power. Speaking of the base, I love the design of it and how it doubles as a headphone stand and charger for your headphones (unless you use non rechargeable batteries, then you'll just make a mess and potentially ruin your headphones once the batteries leak.) As for pricing, 499 or 400? Forget about it, unless you have the money to blow then you do you. If you can find them on sale (I payed close to, if not less than, 1/3 that) pull that trigger. If your interested in open back headphones more than closed give the rs185s a glance too.

  • Great Sounding Headphones.

Great sound quality, love the automatic turn off turn on feature I use mainly for TV and long wearing is not as comfortable as expected.

  • Great headphone system but range is less than I hoped for

These were used but in new condition. It has good battery life on the head set I have used it at least 6 hours without a recharge. I am using it to send audio streams from my PC to wherever I am working around the yard, As you get further from the base station you begin to notice that it matters witch way your head is turned and you also find dead and live zones. But I am sure that for most users who plan to use it to get clean audio to your ears without disturbing others it will suit you well.

  • Does not meet advertised hearing improvement feature

Bought this as upgrade from RS-185 because of advertised features for hearing impaired which I am. When the speech mode for hearing impaired is turned on the volume is decreased from 110 db to 85 db (numbers come from customer service) which information is not in their literature. This makes the headphones useless as an improvement for people like me that are hearing impaired. They may help those with a slight problem but are useless for those like me that have a major problem. The engineers got it wrong as they reversed what should happen. Going to the voice mode should increase the volume not decrease as they have done. Totally a waste of good money since this headphone is not an improvement over the RS-185 for the hearing impaired. Nice selling feature but it does not perform as advertised.

  • Super, Everything in a box system

The Sennheiser Digital Wireless RS 195 headphone System is a superior set that has proven to be perfect for use with our flat screen tv system. The RS 195's come with a complete set of cables for both digital and analog systems. Everything you need is in the box. The added feature to customize tone controls for individual hearing needs is a plus too, although I have found the standard default option works fine for my current hearing needs. A bit confusing to get system set up, but once working it has performed flawlessly.

  • Sennheiser RS 195

The acoustics are excellent. I also have an old Sennheiser TR140 which also allows separate volume adjustment for each ear. However, the controls for the 195 are on the tower and the controls for the 140 are on the ear piece. When you lie in bed with the 140 earphones sometimes the controls hit the pillow and get changed. The controls on the 195 are on the side. Also, the shape of the earpieces for the 195 are angular and do not fit as comfortably as do those on the 140. I'm going to continue to use the TRADE 140.

  • Sennheiser's best ever!

I love these wireless noise canceling head phones! I've previously used numerous predecessors of the Sennheiser RS wireless headphones including the RS180's and the RS220's. These ones are definitely the best. The headset and the base can be turned on and off at the headset so you don't have to go to the base except to charge the headset. Additionally the noise cancelling really helps eliminate any external noise. The quality of the sound is exceptional. I have two pairs, one for my wife who has hearing issues who uses a Sony 65" 4K LED TV and a pair for my Panasonic 60" plasma TV. They work well with both and I have also tried them with my daughters Samsung 46" 8000 series LED 1080p TV. They don't come cheap however, in my experience and opinion Sennheiser really got it right this time!
