Works for me.
Bottom line is that I am able to hear TV conversation much better. I hate asking "what did they say?" I get almost all of it. I have a pair of Bose headphones that are much more comfortable. These don't give me headaches and such but I will take them off during commercials to get a little relief. They could have done so much better so easily. I wear them to understand conversation not high end sound quality. The extra audio options are lost on me. Quite possibly I would have been just as well off with a lower cost model that offered fewer options. I can operate the sound level without taking them off. Selecting other options without taking them off might be harder but I don't use those. I think I could find something better if I could put my hands on the various ones and check them out before purchasing them. These are the highest rated wireless headphones on the market yet there is a loud buzzing sound in the background and the treble frequencies sound a bit tinny especially with the surround feature on. Quality vs. Size
I am definitely enjoying these headphones. I use them primarily for late night TV watching. The sound quality is great. The battery life is good (don't need to remember to charge the headphones every day) and the reach is as advertised. They are also quite comfortable and light (although some of the Bose feel more comfortable to me). Good wireless headphone option.
Sound quality is pretty good on these, especially if you are using the digital optical input. The down side is that it only decodes certain digital signals, so sometimes it works with the optical out on my AppleTV and sometimes it doesn't. Depends on how the audio is encoded. However the addition of the analog input lets me get around this issue, but the sound quality difference is definitely noticeable. The usual Sennheiser compromise
Yes, they sound very good for watching TV. I primarily use them to hear voice/conversation on TV/movie. For that they are excellent. For music, they are also very good. The pair I have did not seem quite balanced left to right and there is no adjustment for that. The volume control is difficult to use. I like the infinitely adjustable dial on the older RS 140 version. If you have two sets, and two charges, you can transmit from one base to both headsets, but you need to do a "handshake" on the second pair every time you take it off the non-transmitting charger/base. Awkward. Very good signal reception all over the house. Better on interference from other nearby devices that the older RS 140s. Unfortunately, will not play from my receiver's record out like the older RS 140s. Bottom line, still not perfect, but very hard to beat for most wireless audio purposes. I love the headphones. After doing my own research, I felt these were the best for the price range. I have used them several times and they are terrific as advertised. They are a little heavy but you don't really notice it because they adjust well. I have a very large head and didn't find them too tight as others had mentioned. I love that there was no interference detectable as you will find on the less expensive FM signal driven headphones.
