THIS IS THE SADFLEBAG COVER TO BUY
No complicated velcro tabs, no tape, no adhesive to permanently scar your saddlebags! If you are looking for a set of "non-speaker lid" saddlebag covers these are the ones to buy. SIMPLE two minute installation, FOR BOTH SIDES even without instructions. There is a "pocket" sewn into each end. You simply thread your latch knob through the hole, slip the front pocket over the front of the lid, then stretch the cover until the rear pocket slides over the back of the lid and you're done! (Though warming them in the sun or dryer makes it even easier!) With the lid closed and locked they are (I won't say "impossible", because someone would be sure to prove me wrong) safe and secure from theft and from blowing off while riding. And, no more polishing boot heel scuffs out of the paint everytime my girl gets on the back! Yes, it makes the lid a little harder to close (because of the felt-backed vinyl between the lid and the base) but no more difficult than the (impossible for me to install) velcro-strapped ones where the straps seem to have no rhyme nor reason for their placement (I had to return a set of these). Even though I saved a bunch by buying them used, I was pleasantly surprised with the look, texture, and quality of the product right out of the the box! (Well they were actually shipped from a previous owner in a bag...) The only thing I wish the covers didn't have is the 1 inch tall by 1-1/2 inch wide Mustang company logo on the rear top of the cover. But obviously not a deal breaker for me. I have not tested them for "unwaterproofing" the saddlebag, but then I don't drive in the rain, nor leave them on while washing my bike. Mustang saddlebag lid covers
I've tried them all over the years on different Harleys and none even come close to the Mustangs. They are custom "stretch fit" so there is no Velcro to have to fool with or worry about coming loose.
