If the wireless on your TV is trash, get this to improve it.

Was perfect for using the LAN connector on my smart TV. Get an excellent signal and no lags, compared to the wireless card on the TV.

    Horrible Item

The item I had received was wrapped not in a box but in some plastic bubble wrap. It had dust and stuff on the side. My unit was opened up at a certain point before it was even shipped to me. The side was a bit loose and didn't close correctly. You can just tell that someone had opened it up. The process of setting up this unit was easy but not as great as I thought it to be. My router has two bands and it was only able to connect to one of them. So all it was shooting out was the 2.4ghz. The 5ghz side didn't work at all since rage was shorter. I should of brought a different product instead. This unit also runs very very hot compared to another extender I have from another brand.

  • Worth buying even if you’re just trying to hook up an old desktop.

Extended my network as described. Setup took two minutes. Use WPS setup, not the app. It just screws up. I’ll be ordering more for my parents house for easier online access. I used the Ethernet as well on an old desktop that works well too. The unit came with the instruction booklet with setup guide.

  • Basically, It's Junk.

I tried to set-up the unit three feet from my high-speed internet modem. I tried every method mentioned in the installation guide. In a few cases, it would connect for five minutes, then disconnect. The only time that it stayed connected was when I connected it directly to the modem. Also, most internet, and u-tube, sites designed to assist in connecting the D-Link have been discontinued. It is possible that I may have been sent a defective unit, but I would not advise anyone to take that chance.

  • Junk with a taste of futility

Bought this as a repeater but also tried to add wireless devices to the home wifi network. I have had nothing but frequent dropped connections after being setup properly. Firmware software is buggy and takes multiple installation attempts just to run. In the end the unit just blinks "no signal" after a few hours of functioning. Just throw your money in the trash if you are still considering this thing. You will still lose your money, but it will save you the time and headache that comes with trying to make this d-link junk work

  • Works great.

I couldn't get the device to work by plugging it in close to the wifi router as described in the instructions. I was ready to give up and send it back. Once I figured out that I could download an app that would use my mobile phone to setup the device, I downloaded the app and attempted to complete the setup. For some reason, after creating a password and attempting to login, it wouldn't accept the password. I deleted the app and started over. After successfully logging in, I completed the setup and wow! The weak 2.4Ghz signal is now 5Ghz and strong. Now I stream lectures and the data flow is fast. A little frustration initially was well worth the end result.

  • Bang, Buck, Smiles.

Excellent bang for the buck. I had 3 subnets on the property as it is large and that was the easy solution for the equipment I had on hand. These work as range extenders or access point depending on how you configure. Right now, I'm using them to 'leap frog' over to outbuildings. and are super simple to set up. As it turns out, with additional tech being added, it was time to consolidate down to one net. I've always preferred hard wire, but the pavement negates that option. These make that affordable and possible. It's been a couple weeks since I got my first set and started messing with them, but today I got serious. Very pleased with where we're at, and going

  • Just nudges the wifi range enough for me

Works a treat and at the price, I'm very satisfied with it. I don't know how long it will last and it's range isn't anything to brag about, but I had this set up in just a few minutes and us serves its purpose very well for me.

  • Great product

Sent to my Grand daughter, who needed it for college work. Plugged into the wall, it did not work. However, I advised her to use an extension cord, and set it on the window sill, direct line with router in another house on the same property. Then it worked very well, and she is very happy!
