Pity it does not have a free wheel function, works well otherwise.
As you would expect this is a heavy unit. The swivelling of the motor can make balancing of the vertical shaft an issue when lining it up in the normal jockey wheel clamps. Its awkward only because of the weight, it is not a fault. Because of the awkwardness I would suggest you have a extra heavy duty swivel mount fitted so the jockey wheel is easily swung up out of the road when towing. The wind up mechanism is good but it does not wind the wheel up high enough to have safe clearance for the motor when towing in a normal clamp. The only issue I have found is that there is no free wheel position You can only move the van by using the motor , you cannot disengage the motor from the gearbox so you can just push the van manually if you have this motorised unit as your jockey wheel. Our van is a 16ft, 2 tonne single axle van with 220Kg on the ball, I wouldn't use it for dual axle vans. Regreasing the drive gears etc will be a hassle, that's a full tear down job. I don't like the 35 amp Anderson plug for the power supply but realistically there is not many options available out there for that.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Good unit but needs improving!
The idea is truly fantastic however there is a massive amount of movement in the shaft area when in operation giving an uneasy feeling of a failure. Would have preferred to use a swing up type mount to save taking the unit on and off but with the weight of the unit and amount of flex it just isn't an option. I have welded the supplied bracket to my drawbar. Unit is very noisy in operation, certainly gets the attention of other campers, some out of curiosity others slightly annoyed. Having said all this it does the job of getting it around tight corners and into my shed. It is very slow which in my case having only 30mm either side when backing it into my shed is ideal. Oh, and only good on concrete/hard surfaces. Mine has been in operation now for 12 months.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Xtreme motorized jockey wheel.
Purchased this product after doing some research on motorized jockey wheels for my camper and boat trailer. This product is exactly the same as sold in the big name boating and camping stores, only at almost $100 cheaper. Delivery was only a couple of days which was was great and it comes with all fixtures needed, but also fits a common jockey wheel clamp so it can be used on multiple trailers with ease. Plenty of power for a small to medium weight trailer and doesn't require a huge battery for power. Overall a great little product.

Well priced and effective jockey wheel.
An excellent motorized jockey wheel that takes all the hard work out of moving your caravan or trailer. The solid rubber wheel has good traction and eliminates the need to pump up tyres. change your supplier would be a good start.
so far the electrics are fine, however the latch supplied leaves a lot to be desired, I had to remove it and throw it in the trash bin, utter rubbish. Possibility of part fail
We aren't very happy with the amount of flex in the bracket holding the jockey wheel in place. There seems to be quite a bit of play when moving our camper. No doubt it could possibly be fixed with a different bracket but that should not be our responsibility.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
