A high quality made in America TV antenna

This is a very high quality American made TV antenna. The metal on this antenna is very thick for an antenna, so I expect this antenna to last a lifetime. Almost all the antennas for sale today will only pick up channels 7 through 13 if they even pick up VHF at all and then only if they are receiving a very strong signal. This antenna will pick up every available channel. I am receiving all 42 channels including our low band VHF channel 6 and the signal is strong and consistent on every channel. Most full size UHF/VHF antennas are 14 ft 6 inches or longer. I was surprised that this Solid Signal antenna is only 12 ft 6 inches and is well balanced. It doesn't look nearly as big as my last full size antenna. If you want all your available TV channels and a strong, consistent signal forget the 'toy' made in China antennas and get a real antenna made in America with high quality materials.

  • Top critical review

    Back to the past.

I used to install antennas about 50 years ago to receive three stations. Looks like we have come full circle. I live about 40 to 50 miles from the transmitter through mountains and over water. I have one station that uses VHF low band still and just couldn't receive it without the proper antenna. Looks like most all antenna made today eliminates the low band. I tried a smaller antenna that received all but VHF low and it did not work for that one station. The antenna is unwieldy and big but it does work well with out a rotor which I could not use anyway. If you don't have any VHF low stations then this is not the way to go.

  • Great Antenna 60 + Mile TV Stations No Issues

I had bought this antenna to replace a similar one that the low vhf elements were damaged during an ice storm. I live in southern RI and enjoy both Providence and Boston area stations. Providence PBS 36 and Boston PBS 2 are in the low vhf bands. This antenna has that frequency coverage. There is perfect reception even with no amplifier. I did install one afterwards for added stability for a 100' RG6 cable run. Over 40 stations between the two locations there has not been any signal pixel breakup at all. Works great with my Tablo 4 tuner DVR. If your looking for the best you can get this is the one

  • Good Antenna for the price

I installed the antenna with a Winegard LNA-200 pre-amp and an PCT distribution amp. Installed at 40 feet on an antenna mast with clear view above most trees. I'm in a rural area and it pulls-in tower signals approx. 45-50 miles away. Did not get any additional channels; actually, the same number as with my old $50 amplified rotor antenna. Pros: AMERICAN MADE and less pixelation and so far it seems to not loose the signals as often as my old antenna. Cons: If you're a distance out from the towers and have long cable runs, amplifier(s) will probably be needed. Overall, good value for the price / performance.

  • Glad we cut the cord

Well worth the money, 87 channels crystal clear including all 4 of the major networks. You will want two people to put up due to size.

  • Didn't do it.

Disappointed. We are in a fringe area, but this model doesn't work as well as the 50+ year old rusty antenna that was in place for getting the channels that broadcast to our area. The picture pixelated some with the old antenna, but isn't even recognizable with this one -- not even with a top of the line preamp. I'll be putting the old antenna back up.

  • Not good

I purchased this antenna because it was the biggest one I could find, thinking that it would give me the best signal reception. But it doesn't perform as well as my 30 dollar antenna. Now to return and I have to go up retrieve it take it all apart try to find a box big enough to put it in because the box that it came in and was all torn up. Very disappointed with the antenna especially for how much I paid for it.

  • Junk!!!!!!

I bought this enormous monstrosity thinking that it would work better than the on that I already had. Going to put this in the recycling and put my OLD one back up which is one-third the size and price!! This HUGE pile brought in 4 channels and NOT VERY WELL at that. Where the smaller one that I have brings in 14 channels crystal clear!!! I advise everybody NOT to buy this IT IS JUNK!!!!!
