Stolen fire quickly put out
Leaving aside the ties to the Alien films, while the visual effects are amazing, the film ultimately has a disappointing ending that fails to address salient plot points and leaves the viewer unsatisfied. As far as the cast goes, Fassbender’s android David was great…but otherwise it's a waste of potential. Seriously, you have Theron and Elba in the cast and you squander them like that? Rapace acquits herself admirably, though. Visially impressive, it must be said, but don't expect plot coherence or sensible character motivation, otherwise you'll find this film deeply frustrating.

It is a great entertaining DVD. When watched as in the series of Alien movies gets really deep and enveloping you to wanting to watch it. Despite being in need of a break.
