The DB Bahnbau Group is responsible for the planning, construction and maintenance of infrastructure systems, particularly railway infrastructure. The company has its own locomotives to transport the trains. A yellow “Ludmilla” – locomotive number 233 493 – with the characteristic name “Tiger” is available for the most difficult tasks. This locomotive, of Soviet origin, received a new 2,206 kW Kolomna diesel engine during the 2002/03 renovation. She has been working for the track construction team since 2014.
