Very fun and thematic
Curse of the Rougarou is the first stand-alone scenario I’ve played for AH, and I quite enjoyed it. I will say, though, that it’s not the most original or replayable scenario out there. It reminds me a lot of the “Blood on the Altar” scenario from the Dunwich cycle, because you’re essentially just exploring locations and hunting down a big bad monster, the titular Rougarou in this case. Still, I think that this scenario does a good job of capturing the “hunting a werewolf in the Louisiana swamps” fantasy, and I’m assuming that that’s the main reason you’re buying this pack. I will say that this scenario is pretty difficult even on the normal setting, and you’ll definitely want a somewhat upgraded deck to take it on. There are also a few cards that you can potentially add to your deck after beating this scenario, if you choose to play this scenario as a sidequest in a campaign. If you’re someone who doesn’t really play AH that much but just enjoys collecting the cards, I think you’ll want this pack. There’s some really nice artwork on the cards and some cool monsters show up in the encounter deck. Plus, all of the cards in my set had this really nice glossy finish on them that the normal AH cards don’t have.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
