Incredible 16-35mm lens, high quality build, fast, sharp
This is one of the best, probably actually the best 16-35 lenses out there. It is so incredibly sharp, focuses fast and makes no noise while focusing (important for video). The build quality is top-notch, as good as or better than any Canon L or Tamron G2 lens. Check out the DXOMark rating of this lens with the A7R III or A7 III or A9 or the previous gen Sony cameras and then try it out and you will see that it lives up to the promise.

Very hard to quantify value when lens is more expensive than the camera. Paying a premium because it’s a Sony.
Very well made and no detectable errors to the average punter given its wide angles. Good zoom range which overlaps my other lenses. Using for night landscapes with results equal to a prime lens.
