PerTronix ignition.
PerTronix is the best thing that ever happened to any of these old tractors I work on regularly, especially if they sit for long periods of time. Especially like it on the early N series Fords with the goofy front mounted distributor. No more worries with having to file/clean points after sitting all winter. Also a great idea if the distributor shaft and bushings are worn, which causes problems when using points. Just a great product all around!

Night and day difference
Great product. Very easy to install. My tractor was always hard to start. After installing the pertronix ignition, I barely have to crank it and it starts right up. Love it. I'm putting one in all my tractors.

RUNS LIKE A BEAST NOW!!
Seems like a whole different tractor! I had always thought i had a carb or timing issue and was constantly trying to adjust the way it would run. Either starving for gas or for air it seemed. It was those dang points the whole time.!!..if they are off by a hair, your fire will never be as it should. My Ford Jubilee is running like a beast now!! Thanks! Great product and choice. well worth the money!

Welcome to the 21st century
Just purchased a 53 Golden Jubilee tractor and have begun "rehabbing" the old girl. Points were in terrible condition, and talking online found they need changing early and often. This eliminates that problem, and although the instructions are a bit confusing, the tractor runs great!

I have used pertronix products for many years. As long as you follow the required 3 ohm minimum resistance on the coil it will last a long time. Easier starting is the best benefit.

Just what I was looking for.
I've needed this for awhile, just hadn't made the decision to replace a $10 set of points with a $100 ignition module. Price came down - now's the chance... It's nice to finally have a great idle on the tractor along with instant starts on minimal choke (if any). I didn't realize how bad it was to keep replacing the points, until I didn't have to any more. This works great! Take an extra STAR out of Petty Cash. I would buy from again.
