Cheap solution to buying a bass guitar setup

Cheap solution to buying a bass guitar setup. The only issue I have is that sometimes the tracking seems a bit slow and laggy. Make sure to play notes clearly. Slides and slurring and create strange results.

    Invest in something else.

I had high hopes for this pedal, but am totally disappointed. What I wanted to do was simulate a bass guitar with a standard guitar. It kind of works, but I am not at all pleased with the sound. First thing I noticed was that it drastically reduces power output. I had to turn every amp I tried it on to "10", just to get a reasonable output in a practice setting. There would not have been enough output for performing. Second, the sound was quite distorted in the lower ranges. I would not try to use it thru a regular amp. Your speakers will object. I tried it through both regular amps and a bass amp. The bass amp was better. Third, the pedal seemed to add some harmonics, which didn't always sound in tune with the key I was playing in. To be fair, there was a narrow range of notes that sounded really cool with this effect added, but for the most part, what this pedal brings to the party just isn't worth it. Oh yes, I tried it with several batteries, (all of which tested good), and with an AC/DC plugin 9V power supply. Changing batteries seemed to make no difference in the sound, and the pedal wouldn't work at all with the 9V wall power. I got this pedal as an experiment, realizing that it might not be what I was looking for, so I was prepared to absorb the financial hit if it didn't suit me, however, I found this pedal to be not only unsatisfactory, but totally unusable. I would be interested to know other people's experience with this item. For what it is worth, the vendor, Pitbull Audio, did a good job. I will certainly use them again.

  • Cheap Octive driver for limited use

This unit is okay if you need an octave driver for limited use as an few parts in songs performed live. It does make noise and I would not recommend it for studio work.. With a studio there are other ways to get octave doubling. It is much better than my old Chili Dog pedal because it switches easier and heavier built . For the money it is not a bad value.

  • Cool Octaver

I like this pedal. You can create nice bass lines with it. The only thing is that the pedal is very noisy and hissy. You must use a noise reducer with it. Overall, it’s good for the price... 👍🏻

  • Octave...not for Bass

It's ok. I really don't like plastic, but I like Behringer...for other products. I thought to try this out. It works good for guitar. I was using it for bass. Not very good. The sound clips out all the time. The product cannot hold the lower frequencies. But for the money, it is a nice machine to play around with....on guitar.

  • Behringer has surprised me with these fine pedals ,easy to operate and great functions

I have used boss pedals for a long time and I'm glad to find another company that is enthused about making great products for us guitar players

  • The best octave pedal for the money

I wanted a bass guitar, but this is way cheaper. If you’ve already got a looper pedal, just stomp on this bad boy with your neck pickup, roll down the tone and you’ve got a fat bass sound for a fraction of the price. If you’re looking for anything more than that, fair warning— this pedal warbles a little depending on the guitar frequency. Overall tho, it’s a great little pedal and there’s pretty much nothing that comes close for the price.

  • Behringer UO300 Octaver

I bought this to do bass parts on loops with my guitar. The sound is terrible with pops and gurgles coming in different places. Use your money on a better unit. Only selling point for this effect is it was cheap.

  • As good as an OC2

I rarely get to use an octave pedal on bass, but recently I had a need. I didn’t realize that the old Boss OC 2 I used in the 80/90 was now very expensive. On a whim, I bought this Behringer. Every bit as good. The jacks and switch are not as solid, but it works for me.

  • Take it up an octave

I like Behringer audio equipment because of 2 things, reliability and price. I'm a blue-collar musician and I need count on my equipment. Behringer good quality at an affordable price, the best of both worlds. The Ultra Octaver 300 adds depth and strength to lead solos.
