Excellent bag that fits the Helix perfectly (as it should, since it's made by Line 6). Fairly large overall but it has to be to accomodate the Helix. Large front pocket can fit just about anything - cables, strings, strap, small siblings or offspring, lasagna, Mini Cooper. Comes with a bunch of velcro loops to bundle your cables with which is pretty handy. Zipper pulls are very sturdy and I cannot see them breaking over time very easily. Expensive, but worth it to protect your precious Helix.

The most versatile/sound quality amp modeler on the market. Ease of use, nice large LCD screen let's you visually interact with the process of editing presets and/or anything you need to do to accomplish your tone. Sound quality is FANTASTIC and on the mark on modeling amps. The editing software is great, but some features needs to be changed: PROS: Ease us use! CONS: Can't delete presets, you have to copy and paste a New Preset to the location you want it in. Can't export the whole bank of presets as presets, you have to save it as a Bundle or Setlist which does not allow you to pick and choose presets to import. Overall it's a 9.5 out of 10 amp modeler. Line 6 nailed this one right on the head. Nice looking hardware, visually pleasing, built like a tank.

As a recording interface, the HX Stomp is just fantastic. It works with HX Edit (and your favorite digital recorder) for recording and reamping; and also supports the 4-cable approach if you want to use it on your pedalboard. This has all the amp and effects models of the full-blown Helix, and sounds fantastic. It is absolute perfection for anyone who does not need the huge pedalboard of the larger Helix. Some people have complained that it does not offer as many elements in the signal chaain as the larger Helix, but the 6 that it does support is more than enough for me. My only wish is that the looper allow about two minutes for a stereo loop, rather than just 30 seconds; for now, I can use a looper pedal I've already got, but it would be really nice to be able to eliminate that from my arsenal.Read full review

So far, I've only scratched the surface of what the helix can do. I use it predominantly as a line in / practice rig. We pract. via headphones and it sounds great! We often times record our practices, and it sounds excellent recorded. I like most of the effects and I think they sound pretty "real" or "authentic," however, the fuzzes leave a bit to be desired. I also think the looper could be a bit more intuitive, but all in all, very satisfied with what the helix can do. The more I use/customize it, I'm sure its secrets will be unlocked. Also, the interface is beyond easy to work with and I love the parameters and the easy at which you can get to each individual pedals parameters. It's as simple as double tapping the pedal (just touch, not press). The wah/expression pedal has a bit of an odd angle for me(I generally use the helix sitting) however, it's not an issue I think that I'll struggle with. All in all, a great rig. Price is steep, but it has so much that it's capable of, and it looks like line 6 took many features into consideration. It's fairly well thought out and planned. One last note, the software is easy to update, and adding new patches is simple! (Note that I am fairly adapt at technical aspects, but I think most users that would look for a Helix would be as well.)Read full review

Fantastic effect unit. I am a huge fan of " That Pedal Show" on U tube and have purchased over 25 different pedals ( many of them well over $200 each) on the recommendation of Mick and Dave. They are great if you only use 3-4 at a time, after that things get noisy. This unit can handle 9 easily and handle multiple routings for outputs. Wet dry wet is no problem and sounds fantastic. Extremely intuitive like an Apple product. Tons of dynamic headroom. I never really cared about Line6 products until they came out with the Helix, now I am a big fan. Great job Line 6! P.S. Im selling just about all of my boutique stomp boxes now - just don't need them!

Amp and FX sims have at last come into their own. The helix holds its own against Kemper and Axe FX II and is easy to work with to build new sounds. Happy to retire all my old hardware in favor of this all in one solution.

I'm lost for the entire world for last two weeks when I first opened the box and turned the device on. Now I'm ready to sell all my pedals, wahs, amps, preamps and heads - this thing can easily replace them all. Using two nice Roland studio monitors is more than enough to punish my neighborhood. 256 factory presets to choose from to play any of my favorite songs. Thousands of free presets on Internet for lazy dudes, hundreds of paid presets for rich ones.

I have owned many effects pedals, and several processors over the years, but the Helix is a whole new ballgame. When Line 6 added "snapshots" in the 2.0 firmware (now up to 2.7), it was a true game changer. This is an well designed, well built, intuitive, and amazing sounding product. I have wanted one for more than a year, and now wonder why I waited so long.
