It also explains that eating meat, poultry, fish oils and dairy are toxic to your body and cause diseases such as heart problems, obesity ,hypertension, diabetes, as well as cancers. John McDougall is a doctor and has focused on nutritional health for the last 40 years. He explains the dangers to your body of too much protein and the politics driving the promotion of meat when starches provide everything the body needs nutritionally. He also backs the change to a vegan diet easy by providing a 100 recipes in his book. He also explains the destructive environmental effects of eating meat, fish and dairy. Very informative and compelling
The best book on health i have read in a long time. You can’t really question the science after reading this book.
