Good value. Directions are incomprehensible. Obviously not written by a literate English speaker but was able to figure out how to operate it. It turns tough leather-like California beef into beef as tender as Wyoming beef. California has the worst grizzle in the U.S. Don't know why we can't import some from Argentina. Worlds best grass fed, no hormones, cheap.

I am hoping my wife's insistence upon getting a pressure cooker but getting "a deal" was not misplaced. Only time will tell. I searched for a "name brand", and the search directed me to eBay and this vendor. I have avoided eBay and its "legions" - obviously for quite some time. The image displayed on the site looked "identical" to the "name brand" product I was searching for. But, there was ___NO___ use of the "name brand" name, logo, association, or for that matter even a "compares to" reference. And yet, I still made the purchase. Delivery was prompt and the shipping carton exhibited little observable wear from transit. The product, accessories, and documents appeared new and in "new condition" once unpacked. The "manual" is about as sparse as can be. The requisite safety disclaimers are followed by the most cursory of loosely translated explanations. As is to be expected, there is grammatical and syntax irregularities peppered throughout the text. There are "recipes" included - I suppose as examples of use. Since my primary consideration was as a replacement for my 10+ year old rice cooker, it was pleasing to find a "recipe" expressly for this. The controls include popular presets - like white rice, brown rice - so "in theory" one button operation. Well, the first batch following the directions ("recipe") to the letter was markedly better than the LAST batch out of the rice cooker being replaced - to be sure. However, It was also far from optimum. Too much water was/is most likely the answer. I did not find a significant time savings in using the pressure cooker for rice. I suppose I had been led to think this method was much faster. Perhaps for other foods/recipes. Against the one-trick-pony rice cooker, it was nearly a coin toss. The cosmetics, finishes, functions appear overwhelmingly similar. Possibly it is an OEM for the "name brand". This is why I have not rated the "durability" above. It's also SILLY to be solicited for an evaluation one week after purchase. It is unfathomable as to why corporations can't figure that simple fact out. Are you listening, eBay? You probably are, and since I didn't say nice things about you, you will probably censor my honest review - finding SOME reason you deem worthy to exclude the truth from reaching the public. At the end of the day, marketing honesty would have gone a long way toward increasing customer comfort and perception of reliability - pre, AND post, sale. The last off-brand product my wife purchased was in a similar price range, she said. With her experience being overall positive she has optimistic expectations that this product will perform and last satisfactorily. And, it cost about 20%+ LESS than the "name brand". If all those things come together, then this can be considered "a good deal".Read full review

So.. I finally got a chance to use my cooker yesterday. The result was fall off the bone babyback ribs, tender, juicy and flavorful...in spite of the instructions. There's nothing in MY instruction booklet that really resemble recipes. It would be nice to have photos, cooking times and ingredients of actual dishes we can prepare. I downloaded instructions from another pressure online that looked similar to this one and had to pretty much guess and experiment. I am impressed by it's construction. It appears to be well made and attractive. The meal I created in just one use was worth the price I paid for the unit itself! Overall I am pleased with this Christmas gift to myself.

Pretty easy to use, but without instructions requires more trial and error than necessary. Claims to have 2 pressure settings. I sure can't find the low setting other than slow cooking. Again without documentation who knows. The instructions they sent are not readable, helpful or functional.

Whoever wrote the instruction manual for this appliance is not familiar with the English language. They're very hard to understand and they don't go over all of the features. This could be a very good pressure cooker but I'm not sure if I'm using it correctly. I would like to be able to use all of the presets but I don't understand what some of them do.

Kids love hard boiled eggs. We're getting farm fresh eggs and I just can't get them to peel! Talk about a pain in the butt! A friend told me to use a pressure cooker. Got this thing Tuesday and took it for a test spin... WOW... WOW! Where has this thing been all my life! 53 years wasted on hard to peel eggs! Never again. I set it on steam, set it to 7 minutes and the end result was shells that almost fell off on their own! Great eggs! This thing will get used TONS just making easy to peel hard boiled eggs!

Got this item delivered really fast, very satisfied with this purchase. The cooker has all functions needed in a home kitchen and it is easy to operate, clean and maintain. The manual I got with the box is very detailed and explains all functions with illustrations in a very easy way to understand, proper and plain English, maybe is a new version after some folks mentioned the bad instructions manual they got with their purchases. It contains some recipes that for sure I will try. The inner pot seems to be of a great quality, stainless steel. After using the cooker for the fist time I am surprised to see how well it worked, fast and efficient no noise of steam from the valve and heated up in few minutes to the settings I desired. The preset timers can be modified manually using the adjustment +- buttons. I would recommend this pressure cooker to anyone looking for a good value in the kitchen.Read full review

So far it has worked well, but the instruction book is not very helpful...There is a steam setting, but the book really doesn't tell you if that is the high pressure setting for veggies, or what... There is a lot of guess work and trial, and error with this product, although it works well.

Thus is a joke. The manual is a joke. I does do it job as far as cooking put the button are kinda messed up. There is no manual button to set just a time u want to cook something. Rice burns in bottom when cooking. No other items came with it. Like a rack for the inside. I'm going to keep it and use it for soup below cooking and steamimg. I'd won't buy a generic piece of crap agsin. Going towards the Instapot as everyone else loves there's.

Being a novice in electric pressure cooking I researched how to use information on the internet. Learning that none of the preset functions line up with well known brands to follow instructions learned. Then manual setting on this model will not allow under 2 hours which is inappropriate for electric pressure cooking of any kind. I found the instruction booklet that came with the product was not helpful in instructing how to use, especially for a beginner. I found no help when researching this particular brand which can only be found in small print on the instruction booklet "Media".
