The author is a little eccentric, I can't tell you how my stamps taste but he can. It is interesting to read a book with an historical perspective written in English but not "GB-centric". The book triggers an appreciation of the large number of stamps which were produced by countries now "disappeared" or simply "re-badged" by an end to colonialism. It has inspired a review of my collection in light of new knowledge.
