Just a PO' Boy
I waited till I got it installed the way I wanted it to before I responded. I am very happy with my Boss PV 3700. I installed it in my 07 Dodge Ram 1500 4 door. I put new Rockford Fosgate in my doors. I have 6x9's in frt. doors, 6.5's in rear doors. I then put 2 Bassline 12's in BBox under rear seats. I've tried w/seat up and seat down. I think it sounds better w/seat down, doesn't overpower w/bass but sounds GREAT. I would buy again for sure and wouldn't hisatate to recommend to family an' friends. Don't Buy Cheap buy quality...
Firstly this amplifier did not connect into stereo mode, had to wire it bridge mono or it would not run all the speakers in the truck. Next, even before I started cranking up the system, the amplifier was hot and getting even hotter. Last thing, the amplifier started clipping and it was not at a high volume. Wow Amazed
I was completely surprised at how well this amplifier works. I am using to drive entire system running at 4 ohms I am getting 225x4 and 775x1 Running kicker door speakers rated at 300 watts And kicker rear speakers rated at 225 watts With a punch P2 single 10 inch sub at 4 ohms The highs and mids are crystal clear and the single 10 inch sub absolutely pounds. Good Amp
My opinion of this amp is good. I had problems with engine/alternator feedback and then began going through troubleshooting steps. My results from troubleshooting indicated that I had too small of power and ground conductors and I needed to re-route and sheild the input and speaker wiring away from the power source. In doing this I increased my power + and - DC wiring to 2/0 but the terminal lugs at the amp in my opinion were way too small and would not accomidate a larger wire guage without shaving and modifying the connectors and even after that the phillips/slotted screw connector was not rigid or strong enough to make an adequate tight connection. I think the amp should come with a remote sub control not just a connection as standard equipment. The terminal lugs should be large enough to support wiring that most installers would use for a 3700 Watt Amp and that it should be of hardened and/or high strenghth brass or gold plated material. I think the installation instructions are too simplistic and the consumer could greatly benefit from a much more in depth installation guide denoting wire sizing and installation help. A complete troubleshooting guide regarding noise and interference due to installstion mistakes and inherent car noise. The online help that I used came from other manufacturers like Crutchfield and Kicker but Boss had very little supportive invormation in helping me diagnose my problems. Please understand that some of us are not professional installers and require a much more step by step descriptive installation manual in order to avoid having to redo the installation. I being on of them it took me three times having to disassemble the entire interior of my car before I got it right. That being said I made my own homemade 100%sheilded RCA input cables and twisted pair speaker output cables, increased my power wiring sizes, rerouted the wiring and reassembled the car. It sounds fantastic! I am very happy with the amp at this point and love the standard crossover and switching capability of the amp. I am a happy customer but it took blook, sweat, agrivation, perserverance, and patience to achieve the expected results.Verified purchase: YesCondition: Refurbished

DO NOT BUY
Wired it up to my 4 speakers, 2 6.5 & 2 5.25 & my subs and the fifth channel doesn’t work it would pop and go into protection mode. So we disconnected the channel and was rolling on just 3 speakers & my subs but 3 days later tho whole amp stopped working. You have to choose to run your woofer or your speakers from this amp. It is 4 channels or 1 channel with a switch to choose 1 or the other. Both at the same time is not available.
