Quality is there, yield is a bit optimistic.
Typically yields 850-950 pages. In 10 years I have never seen more than 1000 pages. HP must have these stats from printers that phone home. Genuine cartridge, I have never had an issue with any HP toner cartridge. I not not regret buying the printer, it is one of my all time greatest purchases. We have these in a CP1518ni and although it is not the most economical printer in terms of cents per page, the quality and reliability are worth it. I find these are half the local price when sourced here, so buying genuine is not as costly as it could be.

Not a new HP cartridge
I bought a new HP cartridge, only to discover that the box had been cut open and taped closed. The HP seal was still intact, but the box had clearly been opened and then resealed. The cartridge's protective pocket had no air in it as it had been opened. The tear-off part of the air pillow was missing. The actual cartridge's pull-away strip that one has to pull out before use, was missing. The orange protective cover that covers the cartridge barrel was not clipped on correctly. Catridge was thus not NEW but rather refilled. Contacted the seller who was very shocked and said that he had been 'duped'. He refunded the money.
