I have got 6 of these cameras and all take really good pictures. Like the way the night pictures are sharp and clear. Although they only come in Black and White. Been using these for over 3 years and never had a problem so far. Ebay has these listed by several dealers. ease of use

best bang for the buck
what a great camera!! I read a lot of reviews before deciding on this one. I bought it for home surveillance and it's perfect! NO glo flash is ideal, no glowing lights, it's silent when activated as well. it takes GREAT night vids and pics, clear. easy to do custom settings, try youtube if you have any trouble. the only cons are it takes about 2 seconds for it to activate and if you're 2-3 feet from it it's not as clear. a GREAT camera and worth every penny!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Capabilities of a high priced camera for less
The trigger speed is excellent, very few if any "missed" shots. 100 ft range for the IR, even more in my opinion. My son triggered a camera getting out of his stand and you could see the deer running across the field over 60 yards away. Battery life is great, no more c-cells every other week. It takes excellent pictures even though I usually keep it on video. The pre-sets make it a breeze to set-up, but you can customize the settings and enter a password to keep them from being changed. If I were to change anything on this camera, it would be the strap, I would have a clip on it instead of a buckle to make it faster than running the strap through and having to feed the full length through the buckle every time you move it. At this point in time I do recommend the G42NG for value and quality. So far I have been unable to program the functionality of the G42NG. I have been unable to communicate with the factory or any representative and so far have had no feed back as to a support group in the Seattle, WA area. I will continue to search for an entity that is knowledgeable about these stealth cam's, which is basically a camera. The booklet is informative to a point but, lacks better descriptions as pertaining to problems that are incurred ie: camera will not function in 'on' mode and explaining certain letter designations. I do hope to alleviate the problem and once I do I shall write another review. The most difficult side is communicating with a foreign entity and receiving feed back. Great Day and Night Pictures
I bought to check what animal were using a new hole outside of our barn. We had been getting a slight smell of skunk at times and our dog had a slight odder twice. Set up the camera and it recorded a groundhog and our cat. Easier to handle than a skunk. It takes very good night black and white and day color pictures. Some difficulty with the menu and aiming it. Total Package
After having 2 cameras stolen,I decided to try this setup. With the exception that I use a largerer gb card than supplied, this is the best way to go. It is the total package. I lag bolted the steel case to the tree and then used the cable lock to keep someone from taking the camera. The case is made so you can use the cable lock to lock and secure the camera to a tree or just secure the steel housing to a tree or pole without the use of lag bolts and use a standard lock to keep the camera securley in the box. The only improvement I would like is to be able to download the pictures to my phone without taking the lock and cable off and removing the camera to do my download.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
