I’ve been shooting wildlife with canons 1 series for many years, starting with the mki 4.2 mp, they are truly great cameras, bought this as a walk around camera today! And was disappointed when it got dark, I’ve taken over300 shots today mainly street, matched to my sigma 24-70. And most at f2.8. Each image is pin sharp, even with the 1d I’d have binned 10%, can’t find one to bin with the 7d mkii, an excellent camera, if you can afford one buy one! Even for the beginner it has a auto mode, and remember AV is what pros call intelligent auto, easy to set up, easy to use highly recommend Paul semi pro photographer

I use my camera mostly to keep up with my 6 year old daughter, who is very quick on her feet! I upgraded to the 7d mark ii, having owned an entry level Canon DSLR, the 550D for six years. The 7d mark ii is a great upgrade. While it's still a crop sensor camera, the image quality is superb. With the 550D I missed so many great shots, due to slow frame rate, or just out of focus shots. With the 7d mark ii, with its frame rate of 10fps, coupled with a huge buffer means that I get lots more of those action shots in RAW and / or JPEG format. I also bought a sigma 17-50mm F2.8 lens, which serves as a great combination with the Canon 7d mark ii. For a lot of people considering this camera, you'll also be considering the 5d mark iii. Do you need a full frame or don't you? Good question. I can't advise, since I've never owned a full frame camera. The 5d mark iii is now only a few hundred pounds more than the 7d mark ii, but with its superior frame rate and software, it's a tough decision. In the end, I guess I take more fast motion shots than ultra high quality portraits - and I don't print very often - and when I do, I never print larger than 8x6, so a crop sensor is fine for my requirements. I can state that I haven't looked back going for the 7d mark ii, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone! Read full review

I am just blown away with the video footage I've just taken its clear and smooth focusing I'm using it with the 24-105mm L lens and its absolutely broadcast quality. low light not a problem the high ISO has taken care of that at ISO 6400 the video is still sharp and usable. The focus of the camera is super fast, and with so many different ways of focusing available I cant find a better camera. I'll be selling my Eos 1DX this camera is parrallel to it if not better, yet 1/5 the price, on top if that I can use infinit number of EF-s lens as well as my collection of EF lens. 5☆

This is Martin my nice new camera , she takes very good clear photographs! The only problem I've had is the memory card is different it's a CD card not a bad card ! Therefore I had to buy some more memory cards! The lenses I had for mirrium my other camera fit this one too! But I decided to buy a good lens for her. I went onto eBay and bought a very nice 17/40mm USM lens ! This together with the 7d is terrific! My photographs have improved all much ! If you decide to buy a 7d make sure it is the one you want! It's a little heavier than some others because it has a magnesium body but it's one I'll not part with until it drops to pieces!😁📷
