It is a good and legit verizon fios gateway rounter
I am using it for my gigabit verizon fios gateway router and it is working as expected. Verizon is able to identify its Gateway router and did the speedtest on verizon account page and everything is legit and works as expected for download and upload speed. The product looks brand new as the same as buying from Verizon. Pay $95 vs $150 with Verizon but then I dont have the warranty as buying with Verizon. It is a great buy. No complaints... but now i found out Verizon can turn on ethernet port on ONT box so that you can use any router and no need to buy Verizon router if you only have internet service with Verizon. ....Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Below average quality.
This router does NOT have the signal strength that it should. In comparison, my old red gateway router could play movies and stream on the roku without problems. Not only does this "quantum" router only give me one to two bars a mere 20 feet away...it disconnects while playing several times per movie. It was a simple product to have installed. The Verizion Tech who setup our Fios system was glad to see we had already purchased the router. Excellent Ugrade Over Previous Verizon Routers
The Verizon FIOS Gateway Router (G1100) is a excellent router. Provides two band connectivity and is very easy to install. It took my maybe 15 minutes to set up and connect 4 HD TV, 2 tables and 2 smart phones. Works but....
Was researching these modems before I purchased it since they are about a third of the price of the new ones you get from Verizon. The one I got works but it's actually from frontier ad has their firmware on the unit. It works but not the advertised speed 940 dl and ended up sticking with my Google mesh router. Perfect for Fios
This is my third Fios router. The 1st came with the system when I installed Fios several years ago. Then when I upgraded to 75/75 speed they required that I upgrade my router to 100/100 speed as well as purchase it for $100. It only had a 2.4GHz wifi network capability. Fios now wants $150 for a Quantum router. The one I just purchased worked immediately out of the box and appears to be never used. Cost was less than what Fios wants. Verizon used to tout this router as a having a much wider range than the one it replaced. If anything, it's actually worse. I find myself with 2 bars in places I used to see 3. It's fine.
