This is my 3rd G930 headset. the first 2 I had the notorious issue where it would beep then cut out and a few seconds later it would cut back in. My first set finally wore out and I really liked the headset simply because no other that I have been able to find has the programmable macro keys on the side of the headset. I like to use them as the PTT for Ventrillo so that way when I get up and walk around I can still talk to the people that I am gaming with. I have looked far and wide and have not been able to find any other headset that offers this, so because of that I have put up with the occasional connection dropping. My second set finally wore out as I use them a lot and put them through some serious abuse. The left hear bracket finally broke causing the ear cup to just dangle. Luckily I still had my first pair tucked away. I ordered a refurbished set of g930s as I did not want to spend 90 dollars for a new pair again. Anyway I used my old original pair till my new ones came in. The one thing I noticed is that Logitech must have fixed that dropping in and out issue as I noticed that I had not disconnected once during the whole day with my old set. So when my new pair came in I noticed the same thing. I have noticed that they are not losing connection anymore. So I will cross my fingers and hope that this issue is finally resolved as I know for years this was the biggest complaint by people about this headset.Read full review

After watching some cool YouTube clips on the Morphing abilities of this headset, I went ahead and purchased one just for that feature alone. Sadly, Logitech cut out this feature from the current driver download. Other than that, if you are just going to use it as a consumer headset, not a gaming headset, it is probably fine. The crippling of the Morph feature was a sad mistake on the part of Logitech. I'm using it currently has a VOIP headset and to listen to songs on my computer. At least it is useful for something. I gave it 3 Stars instead of something less due to headset works fine for those things. There is an older driver that is supposed to work, although I couldn't get my headset to be recognized by the older driver when I tried it. Forum users also mention that the older drivers are buggy and therefore I went back to the current driver which worked, but no Morphing.Read full review

my review of Product Logitech G930 its a great set of head phones and there is a button for 7.1 surround sound all the G keys are programmable and includes voice morph to troll make people rage when playing Online games or close friends and doesn't bleed sound when talking on Skype or voip (online games)even has a volume adjuster on the left side which is nice so i don't have to tab out to turn it up, only problem i have had so far is that is disconnects often when on low battery, plus you can charge while still using them which is awesome for people who only have one set of headphones, and you CAN'T beat wireless over ear headphones.
I enjoy the headset very much. Sound is awesome. Surround sound is great through a headset. I would recommend this headset based on these alone. Also the voice morphing is pretty funny. The cons are possibly related to me buying used, however I'll list them anyway. Firstly I don't get the greatest battery life for long term gaming however it is very cool that you can just plug into usb while using the headset and it will charge. Also, I discovered an issue with one of the earpieces. If the headset was removed and the earpiece was allowed to rotate inward the headset would automatically shut off. I am always the curious type so I opened the headset and checked it out. Decided I didnt know what to look for but when I put it back together the problem corrected itself so that was nice. Aside from those two I can't say I'm unhappy with this headset. Love the mute feature built into the boom. Able to mute just by lifting the boom which is nice.Read full review
This is a very nice pair of headphones. I'll try to make this pro vs con for a while. Pros ------------- - The headset sounds great. Very good for games. VERY good. music sounds nice too, I actually listen to music with them a LOT more than before I had them. They're not the best you could find though, don't overestimate them. But they're still very good. - You bought this cuz you're a gamer, right? Well you'll be pleased to know that sound whoring works very well in most games, as far back as Unreal Tournament 2004 (which actually works with the 7.1 quite nicely) and up to the latest call of duty games (except for Black Ops 2's footsteps, because we're still trying to figure out if they exist or not). - The 7.1 is a little... confusing? at first to hear, but it that's only for about 5 minutes. If you're using skype, there's no problems. If you're using teamspeak, simply go to options -- playback and choose "transform mono to center sound if available" and you're all set. I don't know if ventrilo or mumble have this feature however, so you're out of luck for 7.1 if those are echoey. - The headset can be LOUD. You'll most likely have to lower most of your games. In fact. it makes EVERYTHING extremely loud. You'll find yourself lowering your game volume a LOT if you're anything like me. Don't be surprised if you end up putting game audio at 5% and still hear it clear as day. This helps with a cinematic experience for single player games and for hearing the finer things in multiplayer games too, should you want to raise your volume for that purpose. - The battery life is GREAT. I've gotten almost 11 hours off a full charge almost all the time. Don't overcharge it though, or it'll break the battery, I believe. - The wireless range is exactly as they stated. Sometimes it can go further, but not very often. At the edges if you stay still it is very unlikely to drop the connection, but moving around near the outer ring of connectivity range is a recipe for constant drops. But this is negligible since using it at the end of its range is not what you're aiming to do usually. - The G keys are quite useful. I usually use them to pause/play/skip music tracks, but you can set them for in-game things if you wish and they're all-around a nice addition. Rotating the mic upward is a nice feature to mute, but you can also hit a button at the side to mute it. The software also has a nice equalizer to custom set what you want if that's what you wish. Cons ------------- - The software can be retarded at times. It does not always work right, and if you're on Windows 7 (and I would presume Vista and 8 have this issue as well) you need to launch the program as admin for it to realize your headset is even plugged in if VAC is on. It sometimes sticks the battery counter on "fully charged" and you don't know how much time is left. If the headset drops out of wireless range, the sidetone setting resets to 10, and the mic will be un-muted when it reconnects. - Some games do not like 7.1 audio. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is one that comes to mind. It would have been better if it had a 5.1 setting as well, similar to the Corsair Vengeance 2000s, but alas, it does not. You just gotta live with it or go stereo. - In teamspeak, sometimes no sound comes from people, and you must switch to stereo and back to make things work. I hope this explains most of what you would want to know about it! It's a great headset and the software alone was what cost it the 5 stars.Read full review
Upon receiving this item I was highly impressed with the sound quality and overall use of it. Though within more more than a day the battery after being fully charged began to die within 1-2 hours. The connection with the receiver continues to lose connection and the product is slowly degrading I have not had this product for much over a month. I have tried to contact the seller about these problems and have gotten no word back. Overall, the product has good potential....but the faults in either this particular headset or all of them by the many reviews I have now read. It is not a worth while sale for the price. I am still waiting to hear back from the selling company,

Very comfortable cuffs, over-the-ear, not on-the-ear. Absolutely no issues recommending to anyone. Yet just be aware of these limitations... * will only work with the supplied Bluetooth adapter: will not work with any other Bluetooth device, such as phones, tablets, etc. So it is dedicated to that computer. * sound/button config needs admin to load: so I you lack admin, you will be limited to the device-driver Enhancements (Bass Boost, Virtual Surround, Room Correction, Loudness Equalization). So great for music, not so great for 7.1 gaming.

Quality is top notch! Easy setup, sounds and feels great even after prolonged use, but battery only lasts a couple hours. Not really suited for long gaming sessions.

this headset turned out to be much clearer than my previous ones, although I will sometimes I will get strong bass distortion. I like the wireless feature(can go to fridge or head while still online with everybody), but you have to remember to recharge in between every use...I don't believe battery lasts as long as advertised...I would buy again except I might opt for the wired ones.
