This is a factual (but entertaining), accurate (but sometimes humorous), down-to-earth (no "gloss overs") , real life (and "no 'beg pardons' ") account of a policeman's life and lot in outback Queensland. He tells it like it really is and the reader often feels that he/she is there when a social event or outback desert rescue or flooding rains and subsequent flooding etc occur. Highly recommended as a great read!
